Our earths resources are limited and it’s becoming increasingly important for businesses to invest in renewable materials.
The way products are used is just as important as the way they are made. Once products have reached the end of their usable life, they can turn into resources used to manufacture new products. The goal is to extend products lifetime and reuse all materials producing little to no waste.
It‘s possible for products to be produced with fewer resources and less waste.
The textile industry extracts resources from our planet in environmentally toxic ways, to create garments that are only worn a few times before sitting in landfill for hundreds of years. The production process is vital to the consumer looking for ethical ways to stay on trend and be kind to the planet. Circular fashion and zero harsh chemicals can have a positive environmental impact to our world.
At ecoafriq, we use non toxic dyes (vegetables made dyes) and NO plastic is used in the production process. Some of the materials we prefer to use to make our bags and accessories are Hemp, Cork leather , Sugarcane, Raffia straw, Recycled materials, Upcycled materials and Sisal fibres. Our bags are made using centuries old craftsmanship techniques.
Circular fashion is focused on materials being used over and over, rather than discarded. The earth’s resources are not infinite supply.
ecoafriq bags and accessories are made using carefully selected materials that work with nature NOT against!
The craftsmanship that goes into making our bags and accessories also recognises and celebrates the workers skills and time. Respect for human lives and nature contributes positively to our wellbeing and growth.
Attitudes towards organic and recycled materials are changing. How we shop affects our environment and our planet. It’s important to shop for fashion that’s made with organic and recycled material.
Circular fashion can have a positive impact on our social environment and help educate us all on the impacts of fashion production and consumption!
